Reliable Transition Funding

Long-term, secure funding to invest in the clean buildings transition.

Reliable transition funding is needed to increase Washington's institutional and market capacity to scale clean buildings. With a greater focus on the broader clean buildings ecosystem, the state can harness market forces and maximize the impact of incentives and subsidies for individual projects and installations. Several elements require funding to encourage and support the development of this new ecosystem, notably Washington Builds, a new accelerated market transformation strategy, and the establishment of targets and tracking mechanisms. A new funding source would end funding uncertainty tied to legislative appropriations and instead build permanent, reliable capacity for building sector transformation.
